- On now, until 11 November, Digging Deeper: Uncovering Roman Carlisle, exhibits form the archaeological investigation remains of a 3rd-century Roman bathhouse at Carlisle Cricket Club, the largest known building along Hadrian’s Wall. Tullie House Museum, Carlisle, free and no advance booking required, admission charge £7.

- 4 Nov, 11.00, The Culinary Recipe in Late Medieval England, with PhD student Florence Swan. She will be exploring the idea of taste in the recipes, through an interactive lunch which wil be served in parts throughout her lecture. £35, numbers limited. There is a 25% student discount when the code 'student' is used.
