TWBPT quest for trustees

Tyne & Wear Building Preservation Trust  is a registered charity that works to restore buildings and structures of historical interest in the region. Operating since 1979 the Trust has restored significant ruins such as Alderman Fenwick's House, the Old Low Light and 28/30 The Close.  It is also the guardian of bottle kilns, coke ovens and coal staiths.  The Trust currently employs three members of staff and is one of the most active BPT's in the country.

The Trust is currently seeking new Trustees, especially to fill the void left by the retirement of two Trustees with exceptional conservation and architectural knowledge.  The Trust is also seeking to broaden its diversity to ensure it represents the region.
