Concerts

Two concerts have been arranged to mark the Society’s involvement in the music of the region;

Sunday June 23rd, Northumbrian Minstrelsy Concert at the Sage Gateshead, Hall 2, 8pm. The performers will include Johnny Handle, Carolyn Robson, Stewart Hardy, Graham Pirt, Matt Seattle, The Border Directors and others. The concert is the Society’s contribution to the Festival of the North East and celebrates the work of the Society’s Ancient Melodies Committee in the 19th century. Tickets £14.00 (£12.00 concessions).

16th October,  Chantry Bagpipe Museum, Morpeth, 7.30pm featuring the music of the W. A. Cocks Collection and the 1991 Collection of Northumbrian and other bagpipes. Tickets will be available in the autumn from Morpeth TIC (telephone 01670 623 455).
