To mark the centenary of the 1926 General Strike, the North East Labour History Society have uploaded a number of articles published in their Journal on the subject, many of them based on recollections by those who took part. The 1976 Journal carried five such pieces, a valuable first-hand record. The 1970 Issue gave a number of accounts of the strike as seen on Teesside. There is also material on the role of women in the strike and the intervention of the military, both in 1921 and 1926.
