Description

'Inside the Trenches' tour of the ongoing excavations at Magna Fort, with talk on the impact of climate change on the buried archaeology, and time to visit the Museum. Invite your friends; we'll be happy to have non-members joining us on this visit.!

Meeting in the Roman Army Museum Car park at 11.45. You can reach the museum by car (parking free), or by bus AD122 from stand E at Hexham Bus Station. The 10.30 bus will drop you at the museum. Cost £11 per person, payable in advance - see the flyer for details of how to pay.

Programme;

12.00-1.00,  tour of the excavations

1.00-2.00 lunch in cafe (not included)

2.00-2.30 talk about the impact of climate change on buried archaeology at the site

2.30 onwards - free time to explore the Museum
