Jane Harrison, who lectured to the Society last September about the excavations in recent years at East Thirston, near Felton in Northumberland, has invited our members to visit the site during this year’s excavation season, on 11-15 May, 18-22 May and 25-29 May. Please visit between 1.45 and 3.30 on any of those days, and introduce yourselves to the site team. They are also having an Open Day on 21 May from 1.45pm. The site is on the right as you drive out of Felton and into East Thirston on the B6345. There is parking on site, on rough grass through the gate on the right down the near south running minor road.
